Connie (Littlejohn) Simpson Garmon age 85 from Olive Branch, Mississippi, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, October 29, 2021, surrounded by her children and daughter-in-law. She lived the greater part of her life on her farm in Sledge, Mississippi, prior to moving to Olive Branch, Mississippi.
During her life, she was actively involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives, attending activities and functions whenever possible. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sledge, Mississippi. Some of her many accomplishments include, but are not limited to, wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother, mentor, role model, and friend. Over the years, she kept the books for the cotton gin, was a member of the Marks Garden Club, Clarksdale Garden Club, was a flower show judge, Master Gardener, former Supervisor of Beat 1, Quitman County, Mississippi, and member of the North Delta Cotton Wives. She was active in other activities and clubs over the years, but these are the ones that stand out right now.
She leaves behind a daughter Leslie S. Moose (Richard), a son John Thomas Simpson (Tina), grandson Thomas Christopher Simpson, and a granddaughter Gabby Simpson Graham (Tyler).
She is preceded in death by parents Earl and Bessie Littlejohn, sister Joyce L. Smart, brother Norris A. Littlejohn, along with husbands Thomas Cizie Simpson, Jr., and Thomas E. Garmon.
Visitation will be held at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven, Mississippi, on Friday, November 5, 2021, where the family will receive friends from 10-12.
