passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023, in Southaven, Mississippi at the age of 82 years old. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 1:00pm, followed by a Memorial service in his honor at 2:00pm. All services will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 290 Goodman Road E., Southaven, MS, 38671.
Champ Ray Stallings was born on July 18, 1940, in Alamo, Tennessee to Byron Ray & Mary Bess Stallings. He was very intelligent and outspoken. Champ was a member of The Moose Lodge in Tennessee & President of Claims Association. He was a private pilot and owned his own airplane. He served in the US Air Force with the SAC Unit (Strategic Air Command) for 8 years. He spent most of his working years in the insurance business. Champ had a love for many things but above all things, he loved his family.
Champ leaves behind his loving Wife of 24 years Nettie Stallings, Children; Bradley Allen Stallings (Susan), Michelle DeGerolamo, Jonathan Joiner, 6 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren & Nephew; Mike Stallings.
Champ was predeceased by his parents Byron Ray & Mary Bess Stallings, daughter; Beverly Raye and siblings; Bobby Joe Stallings & Billie Doris Thorn.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in his honor.
