Carol Pace Camburn, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away at her home in Southaven, Mississippi on December 7, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on August 14, 1942 in Missouri, Carol was a radiant light in the lives of many, known for her kind, loving, compassionate spirit.
Carol was not just a homemaker; she was a domestic goddess, a title well-earned through her creative talents and nurturing heart. Her artistry shone in many forms—whether through her incredible sewing skills, intricate crochet creations, or the prize-winning dolls she crafted with love. Each handmade item told a story, reflecting her generous nature and knack for making the ordinary exceptional.
Her hobbies were varied and vibrant, including crafting, drawing, painting, gardening, and cooking. She had a true talent for all things creative, often involving her hands to create beauty in her surroundings and projects. This artistic flair, paired with her generosity, resulted in cherished items that will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family.
Carol was an adventurous spirit who loved traveling with her children and creating fun memories during their trips together. She held a special bond with her son, often seen working out side by side, demonstrating not only her commitment to fitness but also her unwavering support for her family. These memories are a testament to her role as a dedicated and loving mother, always prioritizing family time above all.
A proud mother to Sherry (Jim) Boettcher and Randall Keith Camburn, Carol cherished her role in shaping their lives. Her pride swelled even more as she welcomed five grandchildren: Trey Boettcher, Caleb Boettcher, Pace (Jordan Johnston) Boettcher, Cecilia Denise Ousley, and William Arthur Lane, III, along with her great-grandson, Wilson Boettcher. Each generation brought her immense joy and fulfillment, reinforcing the legacy of love she created within her family.
She is also survived by her special sister-in-law, Janice (Lane) Townsend, and a host of other family members who will miss her dearly. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, William and Beatrice Pace, her sibling, Wiley Pace, and her beloved husband, Kenneth Camburn.
As we remember Carol, we celebrate a life rich with love, creativity, and accomplishment. Her home, filled with laughter and warmth, will be cherished in the hearts of those she has left behind.
Visitation will be held on December 12, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home located at 290 Goodman Rd E, Southaven, MS. The burial will take place at 3:00 PM the same day.
