Alexander Grant Carlisle

Alexander Grant Carlisle, age 21, of Southaven, ran into the loving arms of Jesus at his home on Friday, March 24, 2023.  He was born in Southaven on March 19, 2002 to Marcus Grant Carlisle and Karyn Page (Thomas) Haley.

Alex was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church, and he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior on March 30, 2010, and he was later baptized in 2013.  He enjoyed playing video games, particularly Halo, Minecraft, and Spongebob.  He also loved music and singing and he played the piano, he loved Pink Floyd, the song “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and was known to be a gentle giant.

Alex is preceded in death by his older brother, Hayden Force.

In addition to his parents, Alex will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Amber Carlisle (Brandon Scott), Elaina Carlisle (Kamren Alvarez), brother Nathan Whitman, step-sister Selena Haley, paternal grandparents Terry and Gayle Hamblin, maternal grandparents Joe and Joyce Thomas, stepmother Jennifer Carisle, stepfather Mike Haley, aunts and uncles Keith Hamblin (Sabrina) and Heather and Shane Whitman, cousins Zoey Hamblin and Dakota Hamblin, and his girlfriend Niya Vick of West Chester, NY.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Twin Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm.  Burial will be private.
