A L Hickey

A L Hickey, age 84, of Southaven, ran into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Baptist DeSoto Hospital. He was born in Charleston, MS on April 8, 1938 to the late Aaron and Flora (Keelin) Hickey.
A L had worked for the Illinois Central/Canadian National Railroad as a Chief Clerk. He was a fan of Mississippi State Bulldogs and of the St. Louis Cardinals, and he collected coins and baseball cards.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Delores (Word) Hickey, grandson Daniel Kowalski, brother William Hickey, and sister Maggie Schramm.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children Jamie Hickey (Libby) of Imperial, MO and Pam Mitchell (Charles) of Robinsonville, MS, grandchildren Amanda Phillips (Chris), Adam Kowalski (Grace Leigh), and Kristen Pummer, and great grandchildren Mason Wilcox, Brody Phillips, Nathan Wells, Jacob Pummer, and Luke Pummer, brother Walter Hickey of Charleston, MS, and sisters Sylvia Hickey of Charleston, MS, Sarah Williams of Coffeeville, MS, and Dianne Byars (Chuck) of Hernando, MS.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Twin Oaks Funeral Home from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.
