Charles Joseph Ingram passed away August 24, 2023 at the age of 79. He was born January 10, 1944 in San Bernadino, CA.
After earning his advanced degree at California Polytechnic State University, he served as a lieutenant in the Navy where he was a proud aviator. Once honorably discharged, he began his extensive teaching career in California, Mississippi, and Tennessee. He maintained relationships with former students and colleagues throughout his entire life. His impact as an educator is unparalleled and his passion lives on in the people he taught. He was a lifelong champion of human and civil rights. He was a prolific writer, actor, playwright, and trivia master. He was an avid reader, bowler, debater, fisherman, film connoisseur, poker player, charades enthusiast, and dog dad. Family and friends will remember him for his wicked sense of humor, wealth of knowledge, and deep appreciation for life.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years Karin, daughters Erinn (Danny), Rebecca, Cristina, granddaughters Caitlin and Sydney, and friends too numerous to count.
Funeral mass, Thursday August 31, 2023 10 am at Christ the King Catholic Church -785 Church Road W. Southaven, MS 38671.
